    Why?

    As you suggested, I have seen the dealer. My Kubota is a 2006 and has all the problems I mentioned. The fuel tank and cap were replaced--very little improvement. The front yokes were replaced and the noise went away--for a while. As I stated in my original post, the idle screw on MY MACHINE has...

    Why?

    By saying, (micky mouse), I am referring to the sloppy yoke fit. There is no excuse for this in a machine of this quality design! From reading on this forum, it is suggestive that Kubota can't get it right.I will make my own changes to the yokes with the set screws as indicated somewhere on this...

    Why?

    I can completely remove the idle adjusting screw with no change in idle rpm. Too bad Kubota chose to have a useless speedometer instead of a tachometer. They probably had their reason! I personally am more concerned with the flimsy (micky mouse) front drive shaft.</P>

    RTV Bed Side boards

    I can back the idle screw completely out and it does not change what I consider to be a high idle. I think mine idles at about 1,000 rpm! Too bad the machines have a speedometer instead of a tachometer!

    Idle too high

    Before I posted this question, I did a search for "idle adjustment". For some reason, I found nothing. I knew I had read somthing about idle adjustment a while back. Now, I don't believe you have a clear understanding of my situation. As stated, I am a mechanic and have adjusted many pumps of...

    Idle too high

    I am a mechanic, and to me my rtv idles too high. I have an 06 model and I adjusted the pump linkage idle screw.No change whatsoever. When idling, I can move the throttle lever about 1/2" before increase in rpm. The throttle stop screw serves no purpose that I can tell. There has to be a way to...

    Service Manual

    I am a mechanic and I do all my work. A service manual is very good to have as far as various linkage adjustments. I have noticed a big difference in price for several manuals I have inquired about. What I want is the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL. Are there several different manuals, possibly some...

    under hood toolbox.

    I basically took a piece of 1/8" alunimum plate that would extend from the edge of the cable bracket to the tubing that runs across the front. Width is about the length of the box. I am sure .080" alunimum plate would work fine but you may have to add a leg to the corner opposite the mounting...

    under hood toolbox.

    Here are the pictures of the toolbox I made vs. spending over $100 for one from kubota. I added some text to the pictures that halfway explainhow I did it.

    What could have Kubota done better?

    Only SMALL issues--- There are too many rattles. The front drive shaft splines should be tighter. A tachometer would be much better then a speedometer. Not much chance of getting a speeding ticket![:)]

    ~~~~ who ?
    Re: ~~~~ who ? It was probably me that made the post. I am sorry to say that I have no experience with posting pictures, but the procedure is simple and it worked for me. I purchased the box # HM318BK from wallyworld. When installed as I did, the hood serves as a cover, closing about 1/2 inch...
    I only have one ignition key. Weard looking key that no one can make for me. What do I do? Has anyone found a supplier for an electric bed lift for the 900?
    I bought the Kubota for working on my property. It saves me time and energy. I plan to install a bed lift but the dealer offered one for $1200. To me, that is too much. I am a tooland die maker and I will eventually modify some type electric lift. Why is the high air intake better? I have...
