    Tires

Had a set like em on our last Honda Foreman....absolutely loved them! Never once got hung up, but man do they sling the mud when you get gnarly in the deep stuff!!!!!! A little vibraty on the road, but I can live with it for the benefits. The rubber is quite durable too when used on blacktop...

    Got Goats?

We just have a couple Pygmy goats...totally useless other than for pets. Goats are HARD on fence. They work normal wire fence till it fatigues from constant abuse. I went to welded "hog panels" and it will last & last. May be expensive to begin with, but NO mending fences & no goats running...

Loading the tires - too much?

Loaded tires I wheel weights is only adding a little strain on ther driveline & is far better than adding weight to the frame. Keeps low center of gravity & adds NO vertical load to the bearings or front. Especially helpful not to load front frame if you have no power steering.

    Old dozer/hi-lift Repairs

Well,......goofed! I was sick as a dog yesterday, so easy to screw up or miss something. Dad had part of the left brake done when I went to the shop. Today we bolt much of things back together frame wise. Then, under some shop towels on the bench, I find one of the 4 new brake discs still in...

    Old dozer/hi-lift Repairs

Been working last few days on my 1960 IH T340 hi-lift dozer. Right side brakes were out and left weak. The right final had a leaking top seal, so 140 oil was all over the brake discs. Had a seal on hand, & bought new brake discs for both sides. Quite a job, but not as bad as expected. When...

    mix gas with deisel

It would be a problem had you put 2 cups diesel into 5 gallons of gasoline. Gasoline engines react very bad to any diesel in the fuel. That little to a diesel isn't much problem at all.

    1100 massey

Could be a lot of things. Slip rings worn out, dropping the pressure, faulty valve not sending pressure, or possibly the plates themselves worn out.

    FEL

During the summer, I changed from single tilt cylinder to dual. MUCH more tilt power now. Jeepfreak....yep, I enjoy using my welders....I have a few, one gas engine powered Lincoln 150, a Lincoln 225AC/DC, a small wire welder, 180amp MIG, and Hobart 250 TIG/Stick.

    When It Rains.......

Decided to devote my day off from cows yesterday to getting the Massey back up & running. Only had to buy 2 bushings & a key'd weld-a-hub to go with parts I already had to repair her. The top pto splined pulley ID was stripped to smooth bore. Used lathe to cut pulleys off stripped hub. Then...

    When It Rains.......

IT POURS! Got my MF "2050" (modified MF1650) out a few weeks ago to pack down fill dirt in freestalls we're renewing. Heard a very light squeal whole time, but finished the job. Steering then became difficult as I drove to the shop. Almost got to point of NO steering. The power steering was...

    Toro Wheel Horse

That's a great tractor, and the engine will last years if cared for properly. You may just have a safety switch malfunction preventing starting. You can place a jumper from the "S" terminal on key switch & go directly to small terminal on the solenoid to test. If it still won't crank over...

How do I break loose some heavily rusted parts?

Yep, Kroil is better than PB. Harder to find though.

    Mail Box Destruction

The problem isn't the lack of "break away" mailboxes, but rather drivers taking a "break away" from watching what the heck they're doing! My mailbox used to be my Grandpa's, and it's at least 60yrs old. It's a large oversize that has 4 times the area of std mail boxes. A few years ago it got...

    Brush hog? vs Bunny

Got me a skunk on purpose....but don't try it unless it's your last pass for the day!.....Then keep the tractor moving, park it, and leave it be for a day or 2!:yum:
