I removed the pin today from my shifter. (Cut it off) Simple job with an oscillating saw. I will find out how well it works next time it snows. It already seems better just sitting in the garage.

Dave, looking at your picture again it looks like there is some silicone at the bottom of the windshield. Someone must have tried to fix a leak before.

Dave, I have mine run between the frame post and the rubber gasket, the rubber just overlaps the frame a little. I just looked at mine and I see no way that can allow water to enter. As mentioned above that cab is airtight. I think there is another problem.

tfdr1, If the switch is long enough that looks like a perfect place to install it. I would drill the hole for the switch in the plastic just above the brace and drill a small hole in the brace for the mounting screw which is also the ground. Wish I had thought about that.
