Oil line on 1100 leaking

The oil line that runs from the motor to the oil filter failed on me this weekend. I only have 11 hours on the 1100. Dealer told me that there was a service bulletin on it. It seems that some were installed wrong at the factory. Good thing I noticed it or would have run it out of oil. Everyone who has a 1100 might want to check with your dealer and make sure yours is OK.

Thanks for the heads up about the oil line. I have heard nothing about the issue from my dealer and I could not get anything when I clicked on your post. I park on a concrete floor and have noticed no leaks yet. My oil level is ok so far though.

I will contact my dealer tomarrow about it. It looks like no one else has heard of it yet either.

Again this forum brings an issue up that we have not heard of yet. That is why I get on it several time a day when I come inside. It and most of all the folks are a great resource of information.

I have been working on my light bar and am about ready to post some photos of the progress to date.

Thanks for the post relative to the 1100.

work, look at the forum, learn something important

This might be a isolated incedent, but when I read it, thought I'd go ahead and pass it on. Better safe than sorry.

I have a RTV 900, and when I read it, instantly, I went out there and checked on all my lines >>>>>

That kinda stuff could turn into a nightmare.

They are referring to the remote engine oil filter setup on the RTV1100 and the RTV900 doesn't have this setup. I'm sure it's being addressed.
