I have the 1140 cpx and noticed that the rear rides on the suspension stops even without anything in the bed and I was wondering if that is normal?

Welcome to the forum.

I don't have an 1140 but I'd think that isn't normal. :(

My 900 needs probably 7-800# in the bed before it hits the stops.

You are saying that the rear of the bed is down on the rubber stops???? Wow, a couple of pics of this for sure.....Gotta be loookin kind of like a low-rider thee. Yes, something is wrong for sure. A couple of pics?????......God bless..Dennis

Welcome to the RTV Forum. By the sounds of it, you are bottoming out even without any load. Are you sure you didn't forget to unload some of your gold bullion. If it's possible, send a pic so we can better understand your situation.

I will get some pictures to show it but ya. Unloaded one side touches the stop and the other might have a 1/4 inch. I looked at everything pretty good and it looks like it might be a problem with the leaf spring bushings. Where the bolt goes through the middle looks like it is offset quite a bit on all six. I haven't seen anyone else post about this problem. One or two being bad maybe but all of them bad I would think there would be others with the same problem. It is a 09 with 200 hours and is not abused at all

I bought my '08 900 with 186 hrs. Light use. The spring bushings were worn about 20%. For what the machine had done in it's life I thought that was excessive.

I added a lift kit and while doing that rotated the bushings 180 degrees.

This issue is rarely talked about so I have no knowledge to pass on as to whether it's common.

With all that said, if my bushings were completely worn out I don't think the machine would be sitting on the bumpstops??

Anxious to hear the resolution to this problem??
