2013 RTV 1120 barely moves and shutters 1,000 hrs

" is this a slide valve type with o-rings?" more like a spool valve no orings,

looks like the same poppet on both of my machines but the location is different. NOTE--- both my 2007 1100C and the 2014 X1100C have the same poppet but since the transmissions aren't even close to the same the valves are in different places. but they both function exactly the same.

Here are the pics of the valve I was referring too and the new fluid from Kubota.

Ok so mine is also in a different location on my 2013 1120. So I checked and the plunger seems to be all the way out but I did notice not much spring pressure??

just lubricate the shaft with some of that sudt and while idling take a srew driver or something and tap that in and let the pressure return it to it's seat a few times. just to make sure. that little figure 8 looking thing shouldn't be touching the valve. adjust it until you have a small air gap between it and the poppet. it is possible that is holding it off of it's seat.

Ok something very interesting..... ok I fiddle with the adjustment and loosen the cable away from the valve and no improvement! But then I hear this is supposed to have a lot of pressure so I start the cart up put it in low drive on the stands and there is no hydraulic pressure against this valve at all?? Please comment on this??

there should be pressure on the hst at any time the engine is running. no need to put it in gear. sounds like your charge pressure is low. loosen the suction filter to see if it has oil in it? double check that you have the filters in their proper location.

It’s like no pressure! Lol The filters have two different thread sizes so no way to put them on wrong. I’m leaning towards a problem with the charge pump as well.

did this have the same problem before the oil change? i have seen an air lock once, that is why i asked if the suction filter has oil in it?

Yes, I changed the oil because the dealer said I needed to start there. The original owner parked it because of this problem.

could be? but you are going to need some gauges to check pressure. have you confirmed that the hst speed lever is moving through it's full range?

Yes, I have and at 3 mph top on the stands or in the ground I would have expected almost no movement there. So all is good enough on the adjustments. The only thing I did not do is pull the screen at the bottom of the tank and inspect it when I changed the oil. I learned there was a screen after the fact and the dealer did not mention it in our conversation.

anything that can starve the charge pump can cause this problem. check the line that feeds the charge pump to see if it collapses. could also be in the swash plate servo valve.

I guess the next step is to take the bed off and that rear plate off load it up and take it to Kubota and have the pressures checked. But I really think I should remove part #180 in the diagram and inspect it first. Just a gut feeling??

Yes, agreed and those devices that interrupt the flow and pressures are the items that I hope to identify! This is a relatively simple unit over all and I expect the final problem to be simple and relatively inexpensive to fix. I must say, there is “not” a good trouble shooting flow chart for this transmission in the factory manual.

sure thing. take it out and inspect it. i think in that thread i posted the op put together a cheap set of gauges and posted the prices and part numbers.
