i have a 1992 6610 cab tractor, with one tank, when removing fuel tank it fell and pulled wires to fuel sending unit off i have no idea where they go, three wires, black, green, green/orange

I don't think I've ever seen a fuel gauge sender with three wires. The black is obviously ground. The gauge wire will be green or green with a tracer. I have no idea where the third one would go other than possibly down to a connector for an auxiliary tank (if it had one) I would pull the gauge cluster out and look at the fuel gauge. It will have two wires, one will be shared from the temp gauge the other will go to the fuel sender. What color is that wire?
