Hey guys . Bro in law has a 7X14 tandem axel cargo trailer I was thinking of getting as it might be a deal ?? could haul the rtv in it maybe..
Had 2 concerns ... Will those ramps take the weight of the RTV X1100C 2300 lbs dry ? And then IF I got it inside , how the hell am I gonna get out of it . LOL

7x14 - Is it a 3000# trailer or 7000# trailer? I'm betting on the 7K and also guessing it has brakes.
Assuming the ramps aren't rusted through, I'd think they'd have no problem with the RTV. You're only talking about 700# per tire.
As for getting out...
First, I'm a firm believer of centering the load on the trailer. Skewing it to one side to get access makes the load imbalanced and may have a tendency to make the trailer want to fishtail.
Second, I too am old and don't want to climb out a window. Got any kids or similar that can squeak in between the door and trailer rails? If not, a NASCAR pit crew could take care of you. ;)

You could install a side exit door if it isn't too expensive.

I know you didn't ask this but ..... I have a 7 x 12 ft utility trailer with a drop gate. No matter how good of a deal you get on the box trailer, I would guess you could get a utility trailer cheaper and it would be much simpler to haul your RTV. So easy with the open trailer. Mine is single axle 3500lb rating. Works fine. But a 7 x 14 dual axle utility would be even better.

Thanks for the replies. yes I think its 7k lb, has 2 3500 lb axels. wish they were 5k lb... Utility trailer cheaper for sure !!
Ive got a 8 ft 10 ft 14 ft & 18 ft utility. and a 14ft dump trailer , BUT I dont have a cargo trailer thought might as well if its cheap !
Not to mention 2 chemical sprayer trailers a 350 gl and a 500 gl . and 2 travel trailers . LOL I heard somewhere the guy with the most toys wins ?

I have a 8 x 20 enclosed trailer and a rtv x900. The RTV will fit inside, BUT I had to take it"s canopy off, AND let the air out of it"s tires to get it in there. With the trailer being 8 feet wide, width was not an issue. The rear door (cargo gate) of the trailer lays down to make the ramp. I have hauled a couple of Farmall tractors (one was an M with a loader), and the ramp handled them just fine. That is about the maximum weight that I would want to try on the ramp. Having said that, the tractor is long enough that it"'s front tires were in the trailer before the rear tires were on the ramp so the total weight was not all on the ramp at once.
IMHO, the concerns would be whether or not I could exit the RTV after loaded, and the RTV height.
If the price is right, go for it. I have found an enclosed trailer to be real handy. I can haul a lot of small loose items without having them blow out.
