Aftermarket Parts Thread

Happy New Year to all.

As the new owner of a not-so-new RTV900 that I am in the process of a severe freshening, I keep getting blindsided with Kubota prices on parts. WOW!!!

I'd like to start a thread to help myself and others find aftermarket parts to save some money.

Right now I'm looking for parts to finish up a front-end service. I need the following:

Macpherson strut. $182 each thru Messicks. Ouch!
Front knuckle oil seals. Inside seal is over $50 at Messicks.
Rear brake cylinder seals.

Please add to this thread with any others you know of. For instance, there is good info on u-joints and cooling fans that could help others.

If we get enough info here, this would make a good sticky.

Good thread RydForLyf. Here is a link to the radiator cooling fan I put on my "05 RTV900 after the oem died, for a fraction of the oem 's cost and it worked very well...... http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums...adiator&page=3
Another link to the hydraulic cooler I added to keep the hydruylics cooler with the constant use I was needing: http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums...t=cooler+added
I used a wix oil filter when I was in a pinch and won't again. ( I had drained the oil thinking I had an original but didn't) I noticed the oil light stayed on for a second or so every time I cranked it- never did that with oem. I got it off asap and will stick with oem fluid filters. The light goes off immediately with the oem. My farm /automotive parts store guy is real good with the parts books and has yet to find the oil seals with the Kubota "lip" good luck though . bordercollie

I used to have a couple front-end struts. I don't recall if I do still have them or if I mailed out to someone. I can look if you're interested.

That would be great if you still have them. Mine aren't leaking badly but are a bit wet.

Thanks!

rydforlyf,
I know I have a pair of front struts & I know right where they are. I put HD struts & springs on my 04. They r like new with only about a hundred hours, no abuse, driven by an old retired popo on dirt roads.

Trade you for 19 and froze like a brick.:tiphat:

Awe Muleman, I just got in from the cow working at 11 pm. Only thing worse than cold, is cold ,dark and muddy. I couldn't take the frozen like a brick. I'd have to have an inside job.. :agree: bordercollie

Go with Popo on the struts. I only found one so I guess I did mail one out. I do have a spare set of springs that go around the strut.
