Air intake 1100

First, I am anew member. Been following threads for years and must say great forums are made of great people always eager to help. I really enjoy this sometimes even as a pastime. I have owned 2510 mule, then rtv 900 w/metal top, windsheild and made doors and back window. Used this rig very similiar to Bordercollie for 9 years. The tranny was great for augering feed into troughs for 150 weanling calves twice daily. Belt tranny in mule did not last long. Traded for 2011 1100 in Jan '11. Real nice in summer heat spraying or wiping fence row/weeds.
Oldhat, nice job on the high intake. Wanted to ask are you interested in manufacturing and selling a few of those. I have a order for you.
Thanks to all of you and more in the future. Rogerw in Southern Kentucky

Hello Two Guns, I had 780+ hours when I changed to the 1100. Only problem or should say failure with the 900, I stuck a stick through rad in woods in reverse. Guards somtimes fail to work in reverse.

Welcome Roger. Glad to have a fellow farmer/ fence line sprayer aboard. I also had a mule 3210 before the RTV- a totally different animal for me at least. bordercollie

rogerw. I would make you one if you are not in a hurry. Getting ready to go to the mountains and will be gone till late in October. I made mine out of stainless that I had left over. I do not have enough left to do another. It takes around 5 feet of tubing 1 inch by 3 inches. I had some sheet stainless and a buddy with a break big enough to bend it and made my own. That was very labor intensive. I checked , and can get 1X 3 steel in 11 gage tubing in Kansas City for about $25.00 for 5 feet . Could not find any stainless in 1X3 . The price would probably be stuped anyway. My RTV is a 2007 I think they are the same ?
I have 1 1/2 inches clearance between the dump bed and the body. Be sure you have this mutch clearance.
Let me know. Think you can E-Mail me through this web site.

Hello Oldhat, Sounds like you had a wonderful trip, I hope so.
I checked on price of 1 x 3 steel tubing - 94.00 bucks a stick. This doesn't make economic sense on top of the other logistics in you building one for me. Went to Bota dealer ordered one at descent price 190 bucks. But sure appreciate your kind offer.
Post some more pics and thanks again. Roger

Your welcome rogerw. You are right, the price of steel is out of sight, as with alot of other things. Do you notice that no one is saying any thing about inflation. This being an election year and all.
