Hi,

has any one uncovered an alternative to the Kubota accessory box? I just don't have $100 laying around.

I am going to try some of the Tupperware or Rubbermaid containers to see if I can get one to fit.

Thanks,

Hi Doug and welcome!! That tupperware idea of yours sounds good and if you could bolt it down it wouldn't bump around either. I use zippered canvas tool bags with waterproofer sprayed on them and this works well for me. I've had an electronic [spare] fence tester in therefor 2 yrs and it has yet to get wet. I park outside unless a hurricane is coming... so I get rained on alot.Good Luck, Bordercollie[&]

Under the hood I put a COKE plastic crate. Held in place with zip ties. This has given added

storage.

I was thinking about a plastic battery box, like folks put in thier boat & rv's . Going to secure mine with GE CLEAR silicone sealant. Will be there 4-ever >>>

Guys

thanks...

I am off to the grage, I believe there are some unused Rubber Maid storage boxes in there. I am thinking about using zip-ties to hold it down, that way I can take it out if needed.

Thanks

Are you sure you want it to be there forever? What if you need to get to wiring or the top of the struts (for the lift kit install or strut replacement) or winch wiring (are you adding the wireless?) or anything else you may need access to?

I haven't checked but does a marine battery box fit? I believe the battery boxes I have are too tall.

For those that are using (or considering) a rubbermaid or other type of plastic box:
Those that have posted so far all live in the South. In the Northern (freezing) conditions, these boxes have a tendency to crack in the cold. There's various manufacturers of these boxes and each seem to use slightly different materials. The ones that last the longest in the North are those that are made of the softest plastic. Tucker made some nice ones but they went out of business. The Rubbermaid tubs (at least the larger ones) seem to be the hardest plastic and most prone to cracking. This cracking I'm referring to "normally" takes a few years so it's not that critical but just wanted to make everyone aware. When installing, anticipate replacing them and secure them accordingly (nothing permanent).

If a person wanted to temp install, just put a "teardrop" on the corners, and when it's time to undo,

JUST SIMPLY CUT WITH BLADE, IT'S JUST THAT EASY .. It only takes a minute ! But it will be there until !!!!

Sounds good. You know more about this than I do. Now, tell me why it doesn't work on gutter seams.

Maybe your doing it to cheap !!! Spend that money !!!

The only silicon sealant to use on anything is GE Clear ~~~~ I have tried just about all brands, and the only one that I have found that would work on just about everything is GE !!! Cost a little more but it's worth it. DONT BUY THE WHITE OR ANY OTHER COLOR or Brands. ( Please dont even think about Red Devil Brand, talking about a joke ) Something about the pigments / properties in the stuff doesn't let it "grab" & "hold" as good and will notstand up to what is suppose to. I have gone to Sign Industry Shows, all over the states, and they preach this ..... But be sure to clean whatever you are installing it on with alcohol , that strips all of the propertys off the substrate and will make it work just perfect. 3M CLEAR is also a great product, we use this everyday in the sign industry, and found that the GE Clear is a excellent product. Purchase them in the tubes that goes into the caulking guns .

Give it a try, it will work ~~~~~ Or, you can go purchase some "SEAMLESS GUTTERS"
