And yet more snow

Well just got done plowing snow again here in Minnesota... it is getting to the point where my RTV is having a hard time in the snow drifts due to bottoming out. Here are a couple of pictures .... enjoy.

Yes that would be nice. I need to win the Lottery first before I can order the tracks! I would like to drive a RTV with them on to see how they handle.

Take my word for it the RTV handles great. The turning radius is some whatgreater and the speed is reduced by 30 %. Other than those 2 its a dream to operate.

So, how was the installation of the tracks? Is it a
simple routine? I assume you change from tracks to tires in the spring?
What did you have to pay for the tracks? In one of the other posts,
someone talked about the different companies that make tracks and it looks like
the Saucy tracks are the lightest and easiest on the RTV. What is
your experience and what made you go with Soucy over the other brands? Do
you use them primary for snow or for low areas/swamps? Thanks for
the input.

[quote user="DieselHound"]Deerlope,
Do you have pictures that you can post of your RTV with tracks?

There is a pic of it in the "firewood " thread.

I went with Soucy track because the company came here and let me demo an RTV900 with them on it for 3 + hours. Also because my Kubota dealer is a dealer for Soucy Track. They are I think the heavyest track out there. All 4 come in at around 900 lbs. I paid 6600 bucks for them, and this is the first year that I have had them on. It took 2 guys from Soucy about 3 hours to put them on. So being that I am older and fatter it will probably take me 6 hours to get them off when summer gets here. I will worry about next winter when the time comes. I can tell you this and that is I will never go into winter without them on my baby.
