any fixes for the sticky shift

I forgot... What year is yours? Do you have the hyd dump knob on the dash?</p>


This has been discussed several times. Do a search for shifting or similar on the forum.</p>

In general, you need to get the pressure off the tranny.</p>


How many hours do you have? It loosens up after time/hours and gets easier.</p>

I had a 900 which did get easier after 50 hr check with fluid change.The 1100 I have now still shifts hard especially when under a load.Even hyd dump doesn't help that much.You just have to let it sit for a minutethen shift it.Movin steering wheelback and forth whike shiftinghelpssometimes to.Just try to get used to it.

If/when it's hard to get out of gear, apply the emergency brake
and wait about 3-5 seconds. I can then get it in/out of any gear.</p>


Keeping the fluids & filters fresh helps as well. If dirty, it can't relieve the pressure as easily/quickly.</p>

I find my 2005 RTV900 will finally shift if I pump the brake a couple of times (holding the pedal down several seconds each time). Captain</p>
 
ROCKING THE STEERING WHEEL REALLY HARD {YOU CAN HEAR THE POWER STEERING PUMP STRAIN}AND PUMPING THE BRAKES HELPS ME MOST OF THE TIME AS WELL... ALSO USING SUDT CAN'T BE BEAT AS ALREADY STATED... ONE THING I HAVE LEARNED; IF THE RTV WON'T GOIN ONE GEAR, THEN SHIFT INTO ANOTHER AND OUT THEN IT WILL USUALLY SHIFT JUST FINE INTO THE OTHER GEAR. ONE OF THESE OR A COMBO MAY HELP YOU.....GOOD LUCK.....BORDERCOLLIE .</p>
