any one have tracks on there 900

And still one more posting... For a look at what is available in 'serious' snow grooming equipment, you can take a look at: http://www.resortboneyard.com/list.php?category=9

But outside of the local ski hill, you will not see any of these grooming our trails in this neck of the woods. Mind you, by the time you have bought a new RTV900 and fitted it with cab and tracks, not to mention turbo, some of these machines might seem quite reasonably priced--and clearly are designed for serious snow.

I have a 2006 Kubota RTV 900 with the Kimpex Commander k Series tracks. They are a very aggressive track and will go anywhere in the deep snow. I live in Northern Maine and we have more than our share of snow, believe me. I have a homemade drag that I use to groom a few trails with and it works fine. It isn't fast but I usually am able to pull the drag in mid-range averageing 10-12 mph. Of course it is more like 5-8 mph on any incline. Without the drag, on groomed trails, I average 15-18 mph on a flat surface, 20-23 or more downhill, and 5-8 uphill. I can put it in 2-wheel drive in high gear on this type of trail. I paid quite a bit of money for these tracks but they are especially made for the heavy Kubota. I also have the hand throttle that I find useful to keep the rpms up to prevent it from bogging down on inclines. I've also learned to ease off the accelerator a bit to allow the transmission to work properly.

Sorry, no pics. I paid $5,700 for the tracks. They were selling for $6,700. My drag is homemade out of wood. It is much smaller than yours but it works for me. After a big snowfall, I haul a cedar log that is a bit wider than the Kubota. It fills in the tracks behind me and takes the air out of the snow. After a few passes or the next day when it has had a chance to freeze, I haul the makeshift drag to cut the moguls. My trails are twice the width of the kubota. I plan on fabricating better blades to cut harder moguls but for now this cheap setup works for me. Your drag looks like some of the drags the snowmobile clubs use around here but they are hauled with big Tucker Groomers.

Hi, It's me again. I went online and found a groomer that I think would be perfect for your application and mine as well. I think I'll order one next year. Go to snowgroomer.net I think you'll be impressed. Let me know.
