bed protection

The last 2 pics are when I first made the rack. As you can see by comparing it was higher to begin with. Higher made it hard to see when backing so it got lower. The chain has been removed and the ladder carryer installed holds the sides from spreading when fully loaded with wood. The ladder rack is removeable by removing 2 pto type pins.

The tracks got put on yesterday and they were purchased mainly for using during the maple syrup season. We are still using buckets so when we gather the sap its use the same trail everyday. The ruts get deep and muddy.

Glad you stopped in Fred.

What do you have in your OEM cargo bed to protect against wood or damage in general?

I only have the diamond plate protected with 2 pieces of tightly fitted 5/8" PT plywood. I have a few small dents in the sides . But I bought this to use not to be a show piece or to look pretty. I will probably trade in another year for another 900. That way my tracks will fit and I will have all the up grades that Kubota has put into them.

Thanks bczoom and Deerlope

Thats a nice looking machine. So I assume when carrying ladders you just rest the other end on the cab?

I had wondered about the taller sides thatI want... limiting my visibility.. So some of this I just need to get the machine to better judge then.

I had wondered about pulling the two trailers in a row... yeah I would think backing up would be out. My trailer cutting rack is real light... so perhaps I could tow it to where I need it..itwould be easy to unhook and move around by hand...I could then leave it there for the work.

I have the sides and tailgate lined with the mat also. When the bed goes up e the sides and tailgate meet with the floor mat stopping it from sliding out. So far that has been enough to stop the mat from slipping out. There is no bend to the mat and I believe that must help in stablizing it on the floor.
