I put one of these on today myself in about an hour. Not too shabby.

Looks like a nice setup. Tell us more. Where/how does it mount? Is hyd angle kit available? How's the ground clearance when it's fully raised? How long to take on/off after initial installation. How much does it cost? Where can people get them?

It mounts into the 1.25" reciever on the front of the machine. There are controls for an electric over hydraulic angle kit, however when I ordered these they did not give me the option to get that... I'll be looking into it. When fully raised the thing isa good 16-18" high - plenty of clearance.Once the wiring is in place you shouldbe able to take it on and off in a few seconds, its just a single pin. Cost is $1395 plus shipping and you can get them from me of course :-).

Thanks for the info. Not yet in the market for a RTV plow but will keep this one in mind.

I'm suprised that it mounts only to the front receiver. Seems to me that arrangement may put more stress on that area than it can stand. If you imagine the mechanical force multiplied by the ratio of the distance from the end of the blade to the center times the .625" width of half of the receiver, and then what will happen when you hook the corner of the blade on something that doesn't move. To me it just doesn't seem like a good idea to mount to the receiver without any other bracing in place.

I guess time will tell.....

I agree, there isa big sticker on the back that says do not operate over 5mph. I am sure thats why.

I too am a bit concerned about that. Like RTV4us said "time will tell".

Many of the plows seem to have this setup. I only recall one that has a frame mounted setup but not sure if I liked that one any better. The mount and push tubes are very low and seem like they could be a problem if you're doing other chores and keep the plow on.

Here's a link to the one I'm referring to. http://www.kubotartvaccessories.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=270

Can you clarify something on the pricing? Is the $1395 with the ele. over hyd. lift as well as angle or just the lift? If only lift, how much more for the angle kit?
What would be the pricing for blade with mounts (no hydraulic lift/tilt)? Do I assume correctly that a winch can be used to lift?
Am I also correct to assume there's nothing unique to the RTV in the mounting and it will fit any UTV with a 1.25" front receiver?

Just lift, I have not been able to get ahold of an angle kit for it yet. You are right, it will fit anything that has a 1.25" reciever. It has to be sold as a package, I don't get the lift cylinders as seperate pieces.
