Boss snow plows, any good?

having a Boss 6' snow plow installed, they're made just for UTV's. Seems like a pretty heavy duty unit, anyone have any comments on it? I did originally have the Kubota plow on that's made by Curtis. But I hade them remove it after I saw how wimpy it looked. I have a long gravel driveway that I maintain and I could see that thing getting destroyed.

Don't have a utv blade YET but I do have the boss 6way skidsteer model on my bobcat and it works great on my gravel driveway. It is built like a tank, though I did manage to rip the main frame apart two years ago and it was their lack of continuous welds that I blamed. It's solid now that I welded it right.

If you get it, post pics and a review. I'm looking for a good one myself, though I don't need an expensive one.

Once again putting in a good word for the Curtis plow. I have more than 2kms of gravel driveway, with lots of things to snag and bounce around on and have had 3 winters of excellent service using the 'Kubota' Curtis plow. Just spent 2.5 hours tonight doing all the plowing and no complaints. Not that I would not mind having the versatility of some of the other plows out there--but the Curtis has certainly not shown any signs of balking at the hard work I have put to it.

Have 6 foot Blizzard snow plow mounted on RTV900 that works great on my 1/4 mi. gravel drive. No trouble with plow but RTV is very difficult to shift into reverse after pushing snow into a pile.

What year 900? Does it have a pressure relief knob? I have an 1100 with Blizzard 720 plow in northern NY. When pushing into a pile I usually (but not always) raise the plow as I get close to the end of the run. Then I pull the pressure relief knob and hold it before shifting into reverse. It helps to keep a foot on the brake. Works every time. This is my 3rd winter with the machine, and I look forward to the snows, just so I can go out and play in it. The newest RTV's, as I understand, have the pressure relief hooked into the brake.

My 900 is a 2005 model that dose not have a pressure relief valve. I think if I had a relief valve that may be a fix. The dealer thinks my shift cable is stretched and replacing it will do the trick. Is your pressure relief valve an add on? I have plowed snow with my 900 for four years with no problems until this year. I have been able to move it out of gear by angling the plow blade right and left to relieve the pressure on the wheels. That no longer dose it.

Before replacing the cable have you tried adjusting it? Lots of the shifting troubles are minor adjustments. I tweaked mine and just press hard on the brake pedal and it releases much better. The only time it does it for me is backing up steep hills for wood with a partial load on the back.

Got the boss straight on mine used it only twice but it's built really good.
