Cab roof mounts and lights

Can the bolts for the cab roof mounts (on an 1100) be removed & replaced without any problems or is there any unseen hardware that could be lost during the process? We're considering adding more lights in addition to the two in front and the one in back.

I dont know which roof you have; but on my 900 with the plastic roof I definately use the u-bolts that go through the ROPS for my lights. Didnt replace anything just bolted up a pair of CIBI driving lights and off I went.
I did have to drill a hole for the wiring, but a bit of silicone took care of that.......Dennis

Your are going to have to remove the head-liner and look. When we added the two front and one rear light to my 1100 I thought the bolts were welded in on the front and the backs were not. I should have taken pictures. Easy job to remove the head-liner and you will know in a second. Even if they are welded in you could cut them off and replace with whatever you need. There's nothing up there special as I recall. If you do, take pictures, I'm curious now and others have asked questions about speaker size and of course my memory is fading. :pat:

What I do remember is, remove all the bolts and the interior light screw, then rotate the whole thing forward toward the front to dislodge it from the rear trim pieces and out she comes.
