Coast valve and hand throttle control/ Update on glass windshield latches

I installed the coast valve today. I have relatively flat to rolling terrain andthe valveappears to be one of the best options I have installed. The RTV900 now handles more like a pickup when decelerating. It certainly will be safer for new drivers. I also installed the hand throttle control. I would appreciate feed back from those forum members that have been using the hand trottle-i.e.,how and when you use it? My dealer replaced both broken latches under warranty from Kubota. The new latches have a quick detach on the frame end andbolts on the top end. Makes it much easier to adjust the tension on the latch.

I have a contract to do surveys of roads, ditches, makers, etc. that requires me to travel a lot of miles on roads, use the computer and sometimes a camera, so I set the throttle for about 10 mph. I can then travel without going faster or slower and not have to pqy attention to what my foot is doing. W/o the throttle I always end up going faster than I want. I also use the hydraulics when I need to bend light steel. I have an old steel bending outfit where I can slip in a small hyd ram and use the 900 hydraulics off the back as my source of power. When we are hunting fox/coyotes, we are normally in hills and I have used the throttle again to control our climbing ability. If I use my foot I have a tendancy to use to much throttle which limits the climbing ability of the 900 - I also feel that the tourque curve increases when I use the throlttle to climb - its increase is probably in my HARD head but it works for me. jerry
