Diesel System Lube

Yeah it is really a mess.
All I have ever used is just BP with no problems....so what to do?.......lol
Now gas I no for sure to use Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment for E5,E10,E15+ to keep it from eating up carbs.
Sorta make a person mad u pay big money for fuel then have to buy more crap to protect your stuff.
I have plenty of 2 cycle oil around here so I'll use that till its gone then get the Stanadyne just for piece of mind.
Tranny fluid just does not float my boat for diesel.
Thanks all.

This is almost as interesting as the oil threads that recur endlessly on the motorcycle forums I visit. And almost as informative.

This is the way I look at it when it comes to the fuel additive thing for my diesels.......

Low Sulfur or High Sulfur, Red or Green, North or South, don't matter.
The fuel is NOT what it used to be. Damn diesel don't even feel or smell
the same as it did years ago. I can remember, if you got diesel fuel on
your hands, you could NOT just go wash or wipe it off. You had to work hard to get
it off of you and the smell just faded away after awhile. Today is different.

I will gamble with some things in life. My equipment is not one of them.
I Do know IF I DON'T use some sort of additive to lube the injuectors / pump, the gamble is there. Might run forever, might not, might not ever run in time. MIght cost big $$$ to fix what could of been prevented. That is a gamble that I will not take.

BUT, I can say this, If I can prevent problems for happening, I will .....
For I am willing to spend six dollars per 125 gallons to prevent a machine that cost thousands & thousands of dollars from falling apart and staying broken down.

This goes for anyone, anywhere, including myself. If you can afford a diesel
pusher, either a RTV, Pick-Up Truck, Motor Home, Tractor, etc, etc, ....
You can afford to add a little something for prevention. Why gamble with NOT adding something. If you do add, you got a chance of it lasting a lifetime. If you Don't use something, you are gambleing with your engine's life.
Hell, we all buy expensive insurance for our homes, business', equipment, and toys. Why not think of this as some sort of insurance, if nothing goes wrong, you come out on top !!!!!!!
