Doors

Hi; been in the background ever since I got a 2011 900RVT this last fall. Got a farm here in central Arkansas and got the RTV because, well I was in the dealership getting parts while the wife hooked up with our salesman and drove one and wrote the check.

I have done most of the mods suggested here and there but I am having a hard time finding any good doors. I have the factory plastic top and acrylic windshield, what doors do ya'll recommend. Hard or soft, just so they can come off in the summer. Not worried about cold just to keep the rain out.
By the way mine will only do 26mph max on hard pack and only about 20 on turn rows, but thats fast enough for farm use.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new RTV!!! Mrs. Zoom wouldn't buy my RTV but she did buy me my JD tractor :-)

How wet are you getting (with windshield and plastic top)? That's all I have and find it works. Not fancy, but works. I just wear rain gear or slide over a little to the middle of the seat when needed.

This may sound funny, but you may want to try it before buying doors. If you have a windshield and doors, when you're moving, the air (and rain) may cycle around that enclosed area and come in through the back grate and get you in the neck. Make a couple doors out of cardboard and duct tape them in place. If you get a draft on the back of your neck, the rain will come in with the air.

And that cold, wet air coming in from the back is miserble. That is why they sell sliding back glass' >>>:thewave:

Kfarm, welcome to the club as I like to call this great group. I've got a great wife too; however, it sounds as though your wife has an attribute that I desire my wife to have.

Central Arkansas with an RTV 900 XT? Well, I'm in west central Arkansas with an RTV 900 XT. Where abouts in central Arkansas? I'm located near the great metropolis of New Blaine which is about 19 miles west of Dardenelle on hwy 22.

You mentioned turn rows! Wow that was a common term as a teenager farming soybeans at Paw Paw Bend at the foot of Petit Jean Mountain. These days I'm thankfully to only be dealing with growing grass for a small herd of purebred black angus cattle.

Sounds like you may be ahead of me on accessorizing, but I'm just fine within my plastic hardtop, hi-rise intake, front mud flaps and home made wooden drop-in bedliner.

Best of luck with doors decision.

I agree some times the best option is to leave it alone, but Ms. Money bags wanted some doors to keep her dry.

It's not a problem while moving but while stopped it gets wet. Had some bit of rain down south AR hunting this year.

pepr, I'm just south of Little Rock, the city limits is creeping my way but I don't see it coming much closer. I quit row cropping a few years back and now just sell hay garden and just piddle around. Got rid of all the big equipment and now have only 3 Kubota's, an L185, B3030 (the wifes tractor) and a 7040. My dad was all John Deere but I went IH because of cost and now Kubota because of Fiser's location and salesman.

Don't even have cattle anymore just one old horse.
