After their ship was torpedoed.
An Australian, a Scotsman and an Irishman wound up together in a lifeboat.
They are spotted and the British Escort arrives at their lifeboat.
The English Captain informs them that in order to be rescued, they would each have to answer one question related to the sea.
The English Captain shouts down, “What was the greatest maritime disaster?"
The Australian answered quickly, “That would be the Sinking of the Titanic.”
“That’s correct.” They throw the rope down and pull him to safety.
Then English Captain shouts down, “How many people died?”
The Scotsman answered quickly, “About 1,500.”
“That’s close enough.” They throw the rope down and pull him to safety.
Finally, the English Captain shouts down to the Irishman. “Name them.”
