Enough of that radiator location!

BY upgrading the 900 to the 11's power-plant what you really gain is the ability to turn larger/heavier tires without the normal sacrifice in performance. An obvious byproduct is an equivalent to higher gearing, which will net you a few MPH, if that matters to ya...never has to me. I don't really care for a ton of fun rolling through the forest at more than about 15 to twenty MPH anyway...these trees around here are everywhere! In the West Virginia mountains I easily climbed RockHouse's "Black Trails" (Which a UTV is not supposed to be on) in mostly Medium, whereas the year before on the exact same machine with the 900 I mostly had to stay in low. You wouldn't think 500 pounds would make that big of a difference but the total package made a huge one. I'm using Kubota's OEM breather and filters and exhaust with only the arrester removed. Nothing has been done to take away from factory performance and reliability, which was always first on my list of considerations; If I tweak something, it HAS to add to the machine's reliability, or it doesn't happen. For anyone who didn't know, ITP BajaCross 8ply tires in 26x11x12 easily fits all four corners without lift (I do have HD springs on the front, however) and gives you the added benefit of a spare that can be rotated in all the way around the machine. They claim these tires are directional, but not really enough to matter...just the center lugs have a trivial self-clean angle that you can hardy pick-out studying them. I purposely reversed them and hit the same mud-holes and absolutely could not tell an iota difference in traction. They are, however, the very best "All Terrain" tire you could strap on this machine, IMO. Love EVERYTHING but the deepest mud, and where they shine the most is in the rocks and thorns! A real sweet radial that can handle the weight of this machine without sweating. Stay away from the 14" rims and I just cant imagine a pinch-flat with these. If anyone would like to mod their 900 this way you will need a 1100 engine, tranny, cradle, (Rear cradle mounts are the same for both the 900 and 1100...only the front has to be cut out) hydraulic tank and drive-shaft. (Lets face it, who really would want to keep that bang bang two-piece shaft anyway) I got lucky and bought a totaled 1100 that got wrapped around a tree in Little Coal in the Hatfield McCoy trails last year, for 6 grand. We hit a notary in Gilbert and he didn't have to pull his twist back to NewYork, and got to figure out how I was toting 2400 pounds of extra luggage back to Indiana. :) Anyway, it helps if you have a donor machine to work with. Most folks would just sell the machine they have and buy one of the 2014s, but hey, where's the fun in that! Anyway, I can give the technical plans/measurements if anyone ever wanted a really unique 900 that is a true non-turbo sleeper in the Kubota woods. Most Kubota folks around here are quick to notice the exhaust position on the rear and know whats up! Teehee! Rant off

Baijiu, sorry I'm not into anything China. Just kinda hard-headed that way.

I know the feeling I don't buy Asian products either, it's just the name of a something I liked when I was over there. Great name for a dog anyway.
