I really don't think that price is too bad. . . .considering. I really like the vineyard trimming video where it is mounted on the hydraulic arm. That would be really cool to trim under fences, cut down encroaching tree limbs, and such. I could really put that thing to use. I just wish they had something like that which was PTO-driven instead of hydraulically-driven.
That vineyard hydraulic rig was developed by the purchaser...unfortunately...![]()
I don't know many weedeaters that will cut 1 1/2" thick stuff...![]()
So what would be the advantage of that over an arm mounted flail? I would have thought the flail would be more robust.
Thats how we trim them around here, with a flail......

I'd hate to see a cutter fly out of that flail at that height...I would think it might travel quite a distance with lethal energy...Thats how we trim them around here, with a flail......

Chuck, from some machinery website. Next time I see one cutting alongside the road I'll take a photo.

Paul, they have guards front and back, all the debris is forced downwards. They make surprisingly little mess.
