Is the hyd. tank under the seat connected to the hydrostatic transmission? I am trying to figure out if it needs a pan heater along with the engine and transmission. This is for extreme cold ops.

thanks

I would think that's just for the bed lift. But don't hold me to that , for all I have is a 900, with no hydro bed lift *******

Thanks Two Guns. I am still configuring the 1100. I do not have it to inspect. I am trying to determine if heating that tank is appropriate. If it is not connected to anything that will heat up after the engine is running I cant see heating it all the time when parked.

I've got a 900 so I don't know if this is true on the 1100.

The tank under the seat is for the power steering.

AFAIK, the 1100 tranny is like the 900 in that all the fluid is in the tranny itself. There is no external tank.

On the 1100 the tank under the seat is a common reservoir for the dump bed and the power steering which goes to the two section hydraulic pump on the side of the trans. The hydrostat oil never leaves the transmission. Bob
