Okay, It appears from the posts I searched on this issue that one only needs to buy the Filter assy @$17.39 instead of the whole kit @$78.30. I can make a bracket and buy hose cheaper than the difference in price. Has anyone here installed the kit or filter assy only? Any advice to give? In this highly humid area, it looks like this filter would be far superior to the OEM inline filter. Captain. You can see the kit unde r the Messick's Parts diagramsfor the RTV. Click on "Options" or 'Fuel Systems"

Thanks much Captain for the information, it will come in handy to many of us !!!!

Surely some one on this forum has installed this filter. Is my assumption correct? Does one only need the basic filter assembly?

Hi There
If this is the filter with the water seperator,I put one in my 900
and on a friends900 also. You did have to do a couple things that i can't remember(big help huh) but if you buy the kit it tells you what to do.Don't think it was much of a job!

If possible, see if you can get us some pictures>>>>

I've seen one on the RTV 1100 once that the dealer installed on a new unit for a customer.
