FUEL TANK CAP POURS

TWO GUNS

I brought to the attention to my dealer last week that my fuel just pours out of it ( the cap). He sent me a new cap ASAP, and put it on today, and the damn thing is worse. Is there suppose to be a rubber gasket in this thing. For I have tightend both of them so tight, that you would not believe any thing could work it's way out. But Nope !!!!!We are not talking about a drop or two, we are actually talking pouring out. It just covers my trailer and the side of the RTV when I haul it to the farm . I even didn't fill it up all the way and still, same problem .The new cap he sent states " diesel only" on it . The one that came from the factory did not. What next ????

Thanks, Two Guns ~~~~~

Our dealer not only replaced the cap but they also replaced the tank. They told us that some of the tank necks were ovaled and thus causing leaks. Since the replacement we have not had any problems.

There are previous discussions on this subject in this forum. If you do a search you'll be able to print them and bring them in to your dealer.

Also! Check your spark arrestor located at the tip of your exhaust. Many of us removed them and found them loaded up with soot. If you are like many of us and do not go onto Government land simply leave the thing off... You'll notice a difference as we did in the performance!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Thanks for the reply. I going to do the search right now ........

Other than the leaky tank. We love our RTV ........

Well I contacted my dealer this morning, told him that the new "diesel only" new fuel cap didn't work. He told me " NO PROBLEM". He will contact Kubota and havea new fuel tank shippedin and will be in a matter of days, it is covered in the warranty !!! I don't know about all the Kubota dealers, but I will say this one for mine, he is the best of the best !!!!! I purchased my RTV in Feb. 10, 2007 . and since then, just about every 1 1/2 or 2 weeks, he calls and checks up on how the performance of the unit is & is there information I am interested in, and am I happy with the RTV unit . I will say this much for the gentleman, wish everything I purchased had as good dealer/customer relationship as I have had with my Kubota dealer.

Also, I ordered the V4271 High Mount Cleaner ROPS Kit & should be installing it in a matter of days ~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ two guns ~~~~

Welcome to dealing with Kubota... My tractor is green but my next may be orange. Glad to hear they're taking care of you.
