Just wanted to let you guys know. We took a direct hit from Gustav. 90 mph winds and 4" to 6" of rain. I had no house or family damage. I'm going to get a lot of seat time and chain saw time cleaning up but that's minor. I was with-out power Tues, Wed, and Thurs. I ran two gens, one 5 KW one 6. The 5 has a Subaru engine the 6 a Briggs. I had Mobile One in both. They ran 24 hrs a day, and never failed. Say a little prayer for those not so lucky.

I'm getting ready for the arrival of the remnants of Hanna early Saturday morning. The predictions are all over the map, anywhere from 3 to 8 inches of rain and winds from 36 mph to 60 mph. Depends on the exact track it takes as it moves through the area.

Glad to hear you made it through Gustaf halffasst 90mph winds, man that would be strong.
Jim good luck with Hanna. They first showed hanna dropping some rain on us to. Last I saw the line is midway through WV. I hope thats where it stays. We have a sternwheeler festival and will be on the water all weekend. Hurricane rains would sure spoil it for all of us.

They have cut back a little on the forecast. 40 mph winds are much easier to handle, we have gusts that high quite often. I'm still moving the small stuff into the shed and tying all the lawn furniture down.
