Obsolete is what I is!
I resemble that.

I can turn on an iPad and then.... well... the hell with it.

I hand the kids my cell phone when I need someone added to the address book.

But. So long as there's mainframes, COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM etc, I still have a place in the world. Don't even know if they're teaching that in college anymore. Heck, back in the late '80s, I worked for a large, international consulting firm and my job was to teach new employees coming out of college programming things using COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM. We had other classes for subjects like CICS, IMS DB/DC, IDMS/ADSO and a series for management.

I learned programming in Fortran IV on a large IBM mainframe with punch cards. While I enjoyed the challenge I'm glad I went on to Chemistry. Glad some of you folks stayed with it. Bob
