heater not good

Howdy, neilor.
Welcome to forum.
Sorry I don't know anything about heaters on tractors, but sounds like ya got a valve not opening, or something blocking the fluid going into the heater coil. Somebody should be by before long that's more help than I am.

What's your temperature gauge reading?

If it's running warm to hot, it sounds like a stuck thermostat.

Also, check your heater control to make sure the linkages seem OK. If the linkage has separated from the temp control knob or isn't moving properly, it may not know you're asking for heat.

I've installed a couple of heaters into Kubota tractor and RTV so here's my experience...

Air in the heater line coming from the engine or in the heater core itself. Lossen the hose on the return side of the heater enough for the air to be forced out..(or at the highest point in the circuit)

You could be low on coolant.

Don't know what area of the planet you hail from but if you need a heater it must get cold. You could have a frozen section in your heater loop.

Depending on the route the heater hoses take to get to your heater, there may be a kink.

Just a couple of ideas.

Dear neiler
I have a cab heater on my tractor as I maintainance my tractor, if you follow the hose from your heater to the engine, you will notice that there is a valve switch which is to turn on or off for the summer and winter. If you look at the valve switch that is 90 degree from your hose flow, you will need to turn the valve to the hose flow which will be open and then let your tractor run for a while to see if you got heat going. Remember, don't forget to turn on and off while working on your tractor through seasonal. I hope this will help to solve your problem.
