Chad450r & others. Know some of ya'll need some help in the cold .....
Just ran across a military site that sold surplus heaters.

15 1/2 in. Long to Longest point
8 1/2 in. to tallest point
8 1/4 in. to widest point

( copied from listings )
Jeep Heaters have heavy duty heater core. Simple to hook up, your two heater hoses fit over 1/2 pipes and then hook up 1 wire to switch. These are 24 volt but we have sold hundreds of these and found that they work just fine on 12 volt. Perfect for snow plows tractor cabs or jeeps. New. Government Issue.

69.99$

Still need help

Two guns thanks for the info, I have a custom set up in process, I really need help to know where the hoses go I see a plug under thermostat housing thinking that would be a good spot for hot coolant then return the other hose to the upper or lower radiator hose..... was hoping some one on this site could chime in and tell me how they did it factory.. I promise to post pics when done to help others.

i think this heater would work, as for the pluming of the lines, i think all you would need to do is hook it up in series, all you need is the antifreeze running thru the heater.

If I did this right there should be 2 pics with this message. One shows heater hose from top of water pump going toheater and second is where return hose is T'd to bottom rad hose...Hpoe this helps

P.S. The fitting off the thermo housing is threaded and when I installed the T on the bottom rad hose I did it from under the unit with the protective perforated steel plate removed. I had the benifit of having a hoist to lift the RTV and it made it easier to route the hoses along the frame..Also filled the front under hood with foam rubber pieces to block the cold air from entering the cab.
