Help with RTV model # and strange brackets (pics)

Need some help from the community:

Pic of my RTV nameplate, model and serial number. Can anyone tell me the model number (RTVG, RTVG6, RTVG9, RTVT, RTVT5 etc.) and the year of manufacture?

IMG_0898 (Large).jpeg

Pic of my left rear underbed area. What is the hook on the bottom center on the frame and the corresponding bracket on the upper center on the downside of the bed?

IMG_0900 (Large).jpeg

Pic of my engine. What is the vacuum hose in the center of the pic and where is it supposed to be connected to? I cannot find any corresponding connection anywhere within it's reach.

Thanks!

It's a 2006 model.
Your model sticker is scraped of pretty badly but that does appear to have a W in the 7th position which should mean it's the Worksite model (Model looks like it starts with RTV900W). Do I assume correctly it has a hydraulic tilt bed?
For answering your other questions, I'll have to go look at my RTV. I "think" the 2 hooks on the bed and frame may be related to the GP or REC model as part of the manual bed locking system.

EDIT TO ADD:
The 9th digit of your VIN plate tells you the year (when the VIN is 16 characters). When the VIN is 17 characters, it's the 10th position.
On the sticker to the right of your vin plate, that last number (K7571-21100) is the frame part number.

Looking at your 2nd pic:
Between the hydraulic reservoir toward the back of the machine and the angle iron frame brace, there's a view of the top of a bracket with a nut on the right side. What's that for? The top of that metal bracket looks bent, sheared or both.

ftg-o5, that is a vent tube, looks good, btw bczoom, did you notice the front wheel drive prop shaft in the pic? What year did kubota rtv900 come out with 1 piece propshaft? Scotty

Good stuff, thank you!

And yes you assume correctly: it has the hydraulically raised bed.

Thanks!

I have no idea. I did have to repair the hydraulic reservoir years ago, but I don't remember getting closed to that specific bracket.

Sorry, I don't know. Mine is an 04 and never needed to play with any of the shafts. Once Bordercollie or others that this question that have played with their shafts will know.

When the RTV came out 16 years ago, we started this group. One of the members was a Kubota RTV engineer who helped us with some of these details.
When the RTV first came out, they screwed up on the VIN making it only 16 characters. Industry standard is VIN's need to be 17 characters in length with the 10th position denoting the year. Until Kubota changed it's VIN structure to 17, the year was in the 9th position.

With the exception of tractors which don't need to follow these rules, you can look at any vehicles VIN and know it's year by the 10th position. Unless you have a good memory, sometimes you'll need to reference a chart as they've been using alphabetic characters in the 10th position for a few decades now.

Here's a copy of the chart for reference.

My 2011/12 RTV 900 had the one piece driveshaft. That bracket may have something to do with the manual lifts but I'm not really sure. Does it still have the safety bracket to secure the cylinder on the raised bed? It would be just above your sticker .
There used to be a piece of horizontal thin sheet metal above the engine that said "HOT" on the front drivers side on mine. It vibrated so much that it broke off. also was another one to protect the radiator fan and or fingers.

That is not a “vacuum” hose. It’s a vent line. It’s shaped like a “J” to avoid dirt/mud from blocking it and reduce vapor-condensasion.
The hook looks like those similar on some vehicles which are used purely as a shipping-tie-down to prevent movement while being transported from the factory.

Ok I got some more mystery items I don't know where they go.

I found apparently what is the "Governor Spring" per drawing 020400 at the Messicks site; it was attached to one end but not the other. I have the RTV900R6 Worksite model 2006 BTW.

The forward end of that spring attaches to item #030 Governor Lever, drawing 020500. Rear end of the spring is attached to item #060 Lever Fork on the Governor. The problem is: I can't find the Lever Fork to attach the rear end of the spring.

Pic of the spring with the forward end of the spring on the governor lever. When I found it, it was attached to the governor lever (item #30) with the other end doing nothing just loosely tied to one of the two stop bolts (item 122). I don't see the lever fork to attach the other end of the spring. Do I have to remover the Stop Solenoid to see/find it under there?

Please help.

Thanks,

2nd, what is this broken plastic piece located on the front of the engine, just in front of the Stop Solenoid?

Mounted on the engine, Stop Solenoid on the left, the white plastic on the right is the fan.

By itself with one of the bolts:

Related to this pic, the hose on the right has become disconnected.

That's vacuum hose from the rearmost injector to the top of the fuel tank. I'm in the process of replacing all the fuel lines and vacuum hoses. I ran out before I got to that one.
