Have you ever had one of those moments?

I did today. It lasted more than a moment. DUH

I fire up the RTV to haul a few things to the pole barn, plus get the tractor out to move a little snow. Got to the pole barn no problem. Fire up the tractor and plow the drive. Get into the RTV and have to back it up before going forward. Back up a few feet and it won't go any further. No wheel is spinning but it just won't go. Try to change to forward but can't get it out of reverse. End up having to turn off to get out of reverse, start back up and move forward a little, now I need to back up again, I figured moving it should get it to where it can go backwards. Wrong. It will not go anywhere in reverse. Revs up but won't move at all. Damn. Seems like a serious problem. I'm recalling threads here and can't remember anyone else having this issue. This is all I need. Then it hits me. The emergency hand brake is on. Damn Damn Damn. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: Major DUH moment.

And hey, I'm the king of "DUH". I just cut a finger off on a joint planer... lol

Hahahah I tell ya Ive done that a time or too also and Im sure we arnt the only ones lol
 
Best solution is to put it on hard so it won't move. Wife has a habit of driving around the yard with it on sometimes.
 
I have a bunch of 'em....let me see.... when I almost got squished by a wood planer I was moving by myself and when it slipped, I was down under it and my nose was down down next to my shoe, I thought Rebok would be the last thing I saw, then I said "Lord help me" everything stopped and I was able to wiggle out with just bruises on my back in the shape of the planer bed? that was serious this is funnier...... what about when I was changing out the complete headlight lens on the F150... I stuck my hand then my forearm down in there between the grill and the lens , trying to see what I could reach and got my hand stuck... I was at the barn alone and standing on a bucket too- sure glad I had that screwdriver in my back pocket. A silly thing to do and got my arm about shaved pulling it out all scraped up too. but I got out....finally. bordercollie
