How much can an RTV pull?

Hey guys,

Any pics or stories of what you've been able to pull with your machine? Tell us about it. My Rubicon has impressed me with it's pulling power, but I'm sure the RTV dozer can do more. Tell us "soon to be owners" what it can do.

For one, I use my RTV for loading up deer feeders. I have had the back loaded down with sacks of nutrient & suppliment to add to the corn / wheat / soybeans >>>. and behind it, pulling a trailer, loaded down with up to six and have had eight barrels of corn, full to the top . Pulling this behind the RTV in soft , muddy fields and woods to load up feeders..... Now That Takes Power !!!!

On another time, one of the farm hands left a combine header, loaded up on a Donahue trailer right in the damn way going between the silos. Found out later he had a emergency come up while he was moving the header, anyway, there it was, in the way, I backed up the RTV up to it, didn't have a clue if it would even budge it. Dropped the RTV in low, and it moved it right out of the way like it wasn't even there. That's when I found out what I had, and how powerful that machine is >>>>> SEEING IS BELIVEING !!!!

We also have some Honda Rubicons' , they are powerful machines for their size !!!!

I've personally pulled as much as 3500lbs of wood in a 5x10 trailer up a fairly steep grade through the woods. It'll pull it in either M or L range without too much trouble. This has been done several times with the bed loaded with ~1000lbs of wood also.

This thing is a workhorse!!

I haven't yet found its limit. Like others, I'll put 1000# in the cargo box and pull another couple thousand. On flat ground, you'll barely notice a difference. Climbing hills, it bogs a little sooner but keeps going.
If I had to guess, I'd say it'll pull at least double what a Rubicon will.

Awesome! This machine sounds like a tractor with a UTV form factor. Can't wait to get ours. The dealer says it's due in the first week of Feb.

We have a big storm coming tomorrow (6-12 inches plus sleet and freezing rain). Wish I had the RTV setup with the plow and sander.

Thanks for the "real life" examples of what this machine can pull. Anyone else care to jump in???

mmolnar, you'll love "it". If I remember, your church is purchasing this? You should probably get prepared to grow the congregation. You'll probably get new members that just want to play with the new toy, ( I mean equipment), everybody will be volunteering to spruce the place up, you'll have the nicest church in the community.[A]

notlaw,

I think you're right. The level of volunteer "ism" seems to be directly related to how many cool tools we have to play, I mean "work" with.

I spoke to the dealer on Friday and he said our machine came in. Hoo---ah (think of Al Pacino in Scent of a woman). It should be ready for delivery on Thursday. I'm stoked.

We've been getting a mixed bag of snow and ice in the last two weeks up here. We're planning on a sander for the back. Two people slipped on the ice last month. With the RTV, we're takin' action.

Bet we are going to see some " SLEEPLESS NIGHTS "a coming ~~~~ [:$]

Do they deliver, mine offered, but told him I would pick it up !!! Didn't want any excuses on any delay. Something in the area of, " got tied up, you know how it is " or " had to wait for the secutary to come back for lunch, and she got really tied up "

NO * NO * NO >>>>> I was at his dealership at daylight, with my tandem trailer !!!! When he showed up, I was there, READY TO LOAD !!!!

I know what you mean. I'm trying to keep my cool. It's not easy, though. My dealer is right in town, though, so in an emergency we can pick it up and drive it home - right down main street. Yea!!!

Thats right !!! Look like some sort of " GHOSTBUSTER " with sirens blairing, lights flashing, and you bailing down the middle of the road, right in the middle of the night !!!! Now that would get their attention , making them stop a go to eyeballin' !!!!!

Be alright though, everybody WILL understand !!!!! [:O]
