Hydraulic filter problems

I took my hydraulic filter off, which is underneath the tractor. (YM 2000) and in front of the transmission. Cleaned it and tried to reinstall it, but there seems to be something in the hole where the filter goes, causing the filter not to go in all the way. Any help appreciated. Txs. Pumba/timone

No bolt in the end. End is closed. Triangle end on outside of filter housing. 3 bolts hold hoising in place. There is, however, a round o ringthat fits on the shaft of the filter hoising where hoisimg meets filter screen.

sounds like you're close. On the YM2000, there’s a spring and bypass valve that sit inside the filter housing. Sometimes when you remove the filter, that valve or spring can shift or fall out of place, and block the new filter from seating properly.
Take a flashlight and check inside the housing — you might see the bypass valve stuck sideways or debris in the groove. Clean it out, make sure everything’s lined up right, and try again. Should slide in snug but not forced. Hope that helps
