Hydraulic Question

Hey guys. I am planning on utilizing the dump circuit on my 1100c to angle my snow plow during the winter months. The plan is to disconnect the lines to the dump cylinder and leave it in place. My question is can I just connect the two lines going to the cylinder together with a joiner so I can manually raise the bed? Will the cylinder just pass fluid from one side to the other for this purpose? I didn't want to get into the extra cost of aux port setup for such a simple thing.
Thanks

should work. on my 2007 1100c there is a quick coupler on the rear with two lines from the bed lift attached. i can disconnect the quick couplers to run accessories but the bed is locked down. if i want to lift the bed i just snap it in and lift. the nice thing about this set up is the bed doesn't bounce when disconnected.

yes I was thinking about the bed not being secure but I always put weight in the bed (700lbs) during winter for traction and I hope this will keep it planted to the frame.
