Had to drain hydro oil due to rear u joint replacement, oil in transmission yellowish in color, not alarmed until I drain reservoir this fluid clear just like new. Any ideas what is going on?

the oil in the transmission is a separate compartment from the hydro-stat

yes. super UDT and the filler plug is on top rear of tranny.
