I wish it would snow

I never even hooked up my snow plow last year.

I like snow. I have a boss plow on my kubota, 3 different sets of snow shoes, 4 sets of coveralls, 3 pairs of muck boots and uncounted gloves! Let it snow!

I just took the plow off the ATV yesterday. It hasn't gotten used yet this year. Plowed the driveway once with the tractor. Not much snow this year. It's January and we have ZERO snow, anywhere. :(

I get my local weather out of Kansas City. He said this morning that the coldest weather we should expect for the month of January will come in the next few days. With no moisture. Says he doesn't expect us to get any significant snowfall thru January.

Now that's all fine and dandy with me. I don't want snow. But I understand others might.

you all can have some of my snow. Were under another winter storm warning with 8 to 12 inches expected and 40 mph winds.Ive already moved a ton of snow this year and im tired of it already,I already had to pull the big tractor out to move snow piles and plow the wet heavy 14 inches we had a few weeks back then had to replow it all when it warmed up and turned to slush so when it re froze it was half ass smooth. That causes the most damage to my plow is un even ice and large chunks of ice.Ihave snapped the frame several times over the years on the plow due to the thaw and re freeze.Thats why I bought the big dave brwon 990.Isnt much that beast cant move and I love the 15 inches of ground clearance...

Some folks get all the fun. :yum:
There is a reason I live in Southern Ohio. I like some snow but not like you are getting Mark. If it's going to be cold it might as well snow, but we are not even cold. Upper 50's. It appears that won' last long. Highs will be in the 20's Thurs through Monday. A little chance of snow Thurs. So we'll see.

No way Mark ! Keep that stuff up there .... PLEASE ! ;) We do have a chance of snow here in MIssissippi ,Doc but only overnight - on Friday and it could be a whole inch- then 74 in a few days next week. collie

It is snowing here. A couple of feet in the last 2 days and more coming. I have been moving snow with the BX24, but a bucket isn't the way to do this. Just started looking at the Boss plow, I really like that hydraulic system on it.

Yep, moving snow with an FEL bucket works better than a hand shovel but certainly not as good as an angle blade.

Was watching the national weather this morning and saw that you were getting hit.

The Boss v-blade on the 1100 RTV is a pretty good match. And, putting it on and taking off isn't too bad either. Thank goodness because it's a lot of weight hanging out on the front. But, for the past several years the boat has been able to handle it with no visible bad effects.

Photo from last winter.

First snow is supposed to be here tomorrow. Only 1-3 inches though. Retired I might just watch it melt in a few days. My 99 year old neighbor will be looking for me to clean her drive out. That is fine hoping someone will help me some day.

We've had about a foot of snow. I got to use my new Landpride hydraulic snow plow. It took 4 hours to "plow" my 1/2 mile drive with my FEL the last several years. The new plow cut that in half.

We got a thin skim of ice last night, more on the way. Had to help my Grandson get his truck back on it's wheels this morning. Turned off a treated State Hiway onto a non-treated paved road. Over the bank and flopped on it's driver's side. Busted driver's door glass and mirror. No injury to him, wearing seat belt, going slow.

Sometimes snow is better. :)

We have had a number of light snows where I have property in the foothills next to the Continental Divide, and I figured that I better go plow it before it got out of hand. We usually have dry snow this time of year, but since the temperatures have been higher than normal, some of these snows have been quite wet. I have about 1/4 mile to plow, and the X1100c and the Boss V-Plow did a good job of clearing the driveway.

Lots of animal tracks in the snow including, mule deer, rabbits, coyotes, mice, etc. We also have a mountain lion and some bobcats, but I have not spotted their tracks yet.
