Ran out of diesel, system bled now running, however since then the mower deck now stalls under load grass does not have to be long, any advise would be appreciated?

Welcome to the forum.

My first guess is your fuel filter has gotten clogged up some as it collected all the grunge off the bottom of the tank when you ran it empty. It will allow enough fuel to flow to keep it running, but not enough when it's under load.

If your tractor has the fuel pump INSIDE the tank there is some chance of damage to the pump if run low on fuel. My blithering brain can't seem to decide if this can happen with diesel or just gas....but it's a thought.

You say the mower deck boggs down. Do you mean the engine boggs down? If the engine seems right then you might look at the mower assembly. Maybe it wrapped a piece of rope or something.

what Bczoom and Gary said. It may be coincidence or the filter, check the belts, bearings in the pulleys and tensioner for tightness . I have a diesel 332 and when the battery got weak , it even affected the mowing deck in that manner .Does the engine run smooth when this happens? bordercollie
