Kubota RTV 1100 C diesel

I have been using off road diesel in my 2016 Kubota 110 C. I just noticed the other day that the RTV requires low sulfur diesel. Will there be problems using the off road which I've been putting in my JD for many years. It is also quite a bit less per gallon. Jim

Hmmm.
I have a 2004 RTV900 and I've only run off-road/red diesel through it and have had no problems.
You have an 1100 (different engine and didn't specify how new) so I really can't advise.

Off road diesel is the exact same blend as on road diesel. The only difference is off road has a red dye in it to signify that you are not paying any road taxes. The only people that will know what kind of diesel you are burning is you and the DOT officer, if they pull you over while on the road and do a tank sample test. The sulfur content is exactly the same.

Yes to this. All the same. They made all diesel low sulfur now. And buy from a place that sells high volume so you know you are getting good fuel.

@Jimhuntsman I had the same question. I've been using ORD in all of my Botas for years without any issues. I do use a fuel treatment with every fill as well. Take a look at this article from Kubota
Don't worry. Kubota is notoriously bad for having mis-information....or at least bad translation from Japanese to English in their manuals. For instance the manual for my tractor says to not use a certain classification of motor oil, but the diesel engine oils it says not to use are the new formulas that are backwards compatible with the old ones.

And to clarify that......DO NOT use diesel engine oils that have FA in the donut symbol. But anything in the C class is compatible.

API FA-4 and the FA-4 Donut identify certain XW-30 oils specifically formulated for use in select high-speed four-stroke cycle diesel engines designed to meet 2017 model year on-highway greenhouse gas (GHG) emission standards. API FA-4 oils are not interchangeable or backward compatible with API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, and CH-4 oils. Refer to engine manufacturer recommendations to determine if API FA-4 oils are suitable for use.
