Kubota RTV x1100 Kangaroo Jumping when accelerating

Not sure if this has already been discussed but i can not find anything on the forum about it, sorry in advance if it has been discussed

So i took my kubota in for a service with the dealer about 2 months ago and they put on the report that they found some debris on the transmission drain plug magnet and water but they gave it back to us anyways last week she lost power. foot flat to the floor in high would only give you 12mph on flat and 4mph up hills. bought a workshop manual and it stats that you should try changing the oil filter first which i did even know they changed it 2 months ago.

anyways i changed the filter and thought id drop the oil to see what the magnet looked like and it did have some steel shavings on it. filled the oil back up and the tank under the seat, went to drive it and now it wont even go, it will kangaroo jump forward very slowly in both gears. no matter how much throttle i give it, it will shoot forward about 2 foot, stop and the shoot forward another 2 foot.

Ive measure the VHT valve and it all looks in spec, but it seems like it building pressure to drive forward, it hits the pressure it needs and then dumps it all and then has to rebuild it again and repeats.

i dont have pressure testing equipment but if i need to buy some or borrow to narrow down the possibilities then i will but i was wondering if anyone else has had any issues and what their fix was

thanks for any help

I am assuming that is the drain plug for the transmission. Two things to check is the screen at the bottom of the Hydro tank under the passenger seat, and make sure the hydro lines don't collapse while it is running. I believe the super UDT2 in the transmission and the Super UDT2 in the hydro unit don't mix. Make sure you flush the hydro pick up screen real good , I have read where it will look ok but not allow the fluid to flow through it.

checked and cleaned the hydro pick up screen and no pipes collapse when running but still the same, the only way i can stop it from kangarooing is by putting the throttle on extremely slowly and build the revs extremely slowly up to get a bit faster but as soon as i lift off the revs it goes back to kangarooing

yeah i can push it in neutral no problem, ill jacked it up and try turn each wheel by hand when i have a spare minute

Found where the steel was coming from I think but no idea what has caused it, the charge pump housing. Would a failed bearing do this?

Are you looking at the groove worn in the face of that part, and saying that's the metal you found? I'm not doubting you, just asking.
What part was able to hit that, or was there something foreign in there?
Just thinking of a water pump impeller, if it contacts, that's because a bearing isn't doing it's job, I think.

The metal I found I believe is a mixture of the casing damage and something that has broken but the issue is i cant find anything broken, the Mark's on the casing look like it was a round object about 3mm in diameter but i pulled out every valve there is and none had damage
is the water pump even hooked up to the same oil that runs the transmission?

you probably have a thrust bearing went out and some of the balls went throught the pump. did you find any of the plastic or sheet metal bearing cage in the filter?

no metal in filters but they were changed from a service and i have no idea if there was any metal in those filters when they first found metal on the plug
she is up and running again now, took it apart, swapped out the plates and changed all o rings, gaskets and seals. changed one valve that looked discoloured even know there was probably nothing wrong with it and put it all back together and off to go again
couldnt have done it without the help of this forum though and past posts, very helpful!
