Kubota RTV-X1140 Low Hydraulic Pressure

Hello everyone,

I have an RTV-X1140 that won’t move. I can select any gear, but the machine does not move at all.

The dump bed is lifting normally, even with no load.

I checked the low-pressure charge line, and it shows 30 psi with the pedal fully depressed. The manual says it should be between 63–120 psi at 1400 rpm.

I removed the HST and disassembled it, but didn’t find any damaged parts.

I also checked the check valves, and they appear to be in good condition.

So I started checking the hoses. The hose on the filter housing is connected to the upper fitting on the hydraulic tank, and the return line seems to be connected below the suction line, which looked strange to me.

The oil level is low.

Does anyone know the correct hose positions on the hydraulic tank?

I think the problem might be the low oil level or the hoses being installed incorrectly—but in that case, shouldn’t the gauge show no pressure at all?

Hey man, that's a tough spot to be in.

I'd bet your problem is that low oil level you mentioned. If the pump is sucking air, you'll never build the right pressure. That could explain why you're only seeing 30 psi.

I'd start by topping off the fluid to the correct level first. If that doesn't fix it, then yeah, I'd look at those hoses next. A service manual should show you exactly how they're supposed to run.

My money's on the low fluid, though. Hope that gets you moving again. Keep up posted.

Just to clarify?? Your rtv stopped moving or at least was showing some transmission issues? The oil level in the hst was low so you disassembled everything?
