Don't have that on my RTV.
On some years, there was a hydraulic dump knob to release hyd pressure to make shifting easier but that doesn't look right to me.
Might be the owner added something like lights and that's a knob to pull to turn them on.
Track whatever is behind that knob to see where it goes.

It's a hydraulic dump/release knob on my '06 RTV900. I use it to release pressure when the shifter is hard to take out of gear.
