Lift Kit-vs-tire size

Got a quick question for some of you guys that are more mechanically inclined than I. We have got 2 2006 rtv's that have no warranty left so I took it upon myself to put that 2in spacer lift on one of them. Not going to putnew tires on yet but will around next winter. My question is what is the largest tire that I can run with that lift kit without scrubbing (front spring) and not losing a significant amount of power? I have read that several people are running 27's without putting a lift on. I would like to stick with a 10 inch tire in the front but it looks like it's going to scrape the spring if I go taller. Any advice would be great full.

i don't have an rtv i had an hpx and i have arhino but from experience i would not go any bigger than a 26" tire and i would'nt put the lift kit. the bigger tires puts a strian on the engine and it slows it down a bit not much but it does you can get the same performance andeven better from a 26"tire as for as the lift kit goes that will only cause things to wear out faster on your rtv or any utv/truck/atv. if your wanting trction in the mud i sugest you get some 26"589's you won't be sorry i had a set of them on my hpx and i never was in the need for more traction they bite like tractor tires i went with the 27" but i wished i would have went with the 26's after i bought them because i had to lift the gator to keep them from rubbing .i am planning on swapping out my mudlites and getting some for my rhino because them mudlites are already wearing down. so stick with a 26"tire and no lift.

For I am one of them people. Running 27" 589's, and if It had to done it again, would sure go with 26 inchers. Have no lift, no rubbs with the 27"'s, but the 26" 589's will let you just as far as the tweenty sevens >>>>

Not just because we have them, we've tried 'em all,and with all kindstires on the atv's / UTV's,and the 589's are the best pulling tire on the market. PERIOD....They are aggressive !!! We use them in the swamps for hunting and deer management .... We swap 'em out when season is over and go back with the atv Kubota style tires and OEM rims.

I agree. I have the 27" Mudlites 9" wide in front and I think 11" rear. I have no rubbing but I will go 26 " next time around. I do not have a lift kit. Bordercollie

I run 27-10-12 super grip mud lights in the winter and spring and 25-10-12 oem turf tires in the summer..........No lift kit and no rubbing..........
