Hello, My Father-n-Law has a 6000 that when the engine is not running the steering wheel can be turned in circles continuously without any resistance. When travelling down the road at full speed it is a constant battle to stay on the road, also at times the 3-point lift will not go down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to NTT. I am not sure when not running, but with the engine running and it can be do that, it means you have a leak and low level of fluid going to the pump. I had that before. Your pump may be going out. The 3PH should go down with weight on it. When it stays up, is there weight on it?
