Massey Ferguson #66 plow

A tractor without a plow is like an airplane without a runway. It just ain't right. So when I restored my 150, I also did the plow that matches up with it. Here's a MF#66, 2X14" saftey trip beam plow with landing crank, trash cover boards, and a shiney new paint job. :thumb:

In due time, I'll also be restoring a model #25 7'-9" 3-point disc, a #39 2-row planter, and a #26 subsoiler. :waiting:

Thank Ya! Most of the implements I've owned were bought second hand and with "issues". I'd repair, use for a few years, sell for a profit and buy ANOTHER "junker" to repair. I'd buy top-of-the-line stuff that was simply abused and given up for dead. Usually for pennies on the dollar I'd have very new, very nice equipment that started off as someone elses "junk". By doing things that way I had better and newer equipment than a 188 acre farm should have been able to justify purchasing. All along, I liked for my equipment to look as nice as possible.

Quite a few guys said about my little double bottom for my garden tractor that they'd not use it, but I told them the same thing...soon as I can I'm gonna plow!:thumb:

I grew up plowing dads ground with a 2-bottom plow. I spent hours on end plowing as a youngster. Once I got my own place, I left the bigger tractors in the shed and plowed with 2 or 3 bottom plows. I spent hours on end plowing. Now that I don't farm anymore, and can do whatever I want with my spare time, I look forward to the opportunity to spend hours on end plowing with a little 2-bottom plow again.

Nothing quite like the smell of fresh dirt and diesel exhaust, along with watching a hawk circle overhead waiting for field mice to run across the plowed ground. :thumb:

Yes there is it is when you are done and you look back at what you have done and see that is done perfectly and you think "that looks good and I did it"
