Massey Ferguson 7's

Got a couple of Massey Ferguson 7's. The one with the chrome hubcaps runs perfect, just needs a seat. Has a mower deck but it's rotten.

The other one has a locked up engine, but has a perfect mower deck.

I couldn't stand to see them get scrapped.

I was thinking of emailing Massey Ferguson to see if they can tell me the years of them off the serial numbers. But I see they are older than I thought. I want to set one up for mowing so the wife can do around the house where I can't get with the Kubota. And the other I will just fix or replace the engine and use it for a parade toy.

I saw that. But what am I looking for.....are those the first or the last numbers in the serial numbers?

I'll write my numbers down later.

Those are the first.
E.g. 1968 - 00001 (Gear Recoil)
Serial #00001 through 01147 are 1968. 1969 picks up at 1148.

Looks like they're both 1971 models
They both have serial #'s between 223307 and 237556

I was just scouring the internet. Can't find another set of those hubcaps or the steering wheel center cap anywhere. I did find one steering wheel cap on Ebay but it was in worse shape than my one bad one.

Anyone have any?

Look up your rim sizes then do an internet search for "baby moon hub caps". There's lots of results.

Gotcha. I didn't know it had the logo so I was looking for something generic.

Thanks though. But, yes, the one tractor I have that has them....they have the Massey logo on them. Was looking to see if I could get a set for the other tractor to keep it original looking.

And the one with the bad engine......the steering wheel cap is faded and you can't see the logo in it any more.

Maybe today I'll pull them out and get some better pics.

Here's a couple more pics. Interesting that despite the serial numbers being that close together, they are two different shades of red. I don't think either has ever been painted because even the mower decks match the tractor colors.
Both need seats.

The engines. Each has a different location of the air filter. And one looks like a home made exhaust?

And lastly, I think somebody did this, but the one has the grill and hood raised at the front mount.
