mm RTV Bolt Size anyone? Wife problems. Need advice fast

Need some help fast or the wife is going to kill me. I told her I wanted to change the belt before she did her chores but I broke the bolt off. Anyone know what size this bolt is (I can eyeball length)? In changing the belt on my 2010? RTV1100, I needed to loosen the belt tension so in attempting to pivot the alternator, I snapped off the bolt (top of the alternator) that goes through the arched bracket (that bracket that allows the alternator to be moved right or left for tensioning) and tightens into top arm of the alternator housing. Fast because I would like to swing into the hardware store and pick it up this morning since the Kubota Dealer is closed today and my wife has a lot of chores to do to day with the machine today. If I make her walk the chores she will be mad and probably not feed me supper.

By the way, I did extract the remaining bolt shaft by heating it but garbled the threads up enough to make determining the size tough. You are probably asking why I don't just take the alternator in and try different bolts into the alternator's female housing but the oxidization of the bolt/threads put just enough debris in the female thread field to cause resistance. I am unable to determine with the few bolts I have tried if this is due to debris in the treads or it is the wrong size. Surely it is a metric size? Anyone know the exact size?:sex:

I don't know Orange, but, I would run to the hardware store and buy several sizes-of all types .. Then you can return the ones that don't work. It is worth it to save supper. ;) collie

Looks like 8 or 10 mm diameter. Top one looks short 30mm so possible 8x30mm

Long bottom could be 10x80mm.

Just guessing from the parts diagram.

030-ends with 0830
040-ends with 1080

Lots of the time you can 'flush' the stuff outta the threads with spray lube, which also helps the new threads 'slide' thru the rusty ones. Makes a HUGE difference threading new into/on old threads.
