Tractors are expensive tools. Many people just need one on occasion and hire out the work.
Have you found any ways to make money with your tractor?

I knew one owner operator that dug graves for the cemetery. Sounded like a good gig, but he said it was extremely hard on the tractor and when it rained it poured.

Have dug two graves with the backhoe, one of which was for a member of the family. A very sad day.

The other was for a Saint Bernard.

On a less serious note, I use my tractors for my gardening operation. Between the two of them, I average about four hundred hours a years on them or about ten hours per acre. I do not know if it is paying for them as each year the schedule F shows a loss. In the long term it will be profitable as the land that was purchased for the operation is increasing in value each year.

I cut grass/brush with mine, pays for the repairs and maintenance, and I get free tractor time
