Mounting and Unmounting KFI Snow Plow.

Received my RTV X900 today. I purchased with a KFI snow plow. I took the plow off first thing as I don't plan on keeping it on until needed. It was difficult to get the pressure off the pins that hold the blade assembly to the RTV mount. I tried using a jack to make it easy to pull the pins but nothing seemed to relieve the pressure. I believe it is because I lowered the blade onto wooden blocks rather than putting it directly on the floor of my shed.

Also to free up the winch cable I had to remove the pully from the blade assembly. I don't believe it should be this difficult.

Any suggestions or hints about how to make this job easier would be most appreciated.

I have a KFI plow on my X1100C. The pins are always a pain. I believe the pin to hole tolerance is just a little too tight. I also think with the blade so far out in front of the machine, any little bit of unevenness is magnified. After multiple cable breaks during my 1st winter, I've swapped the winch cable for a 2" wide strap.

Took the blade mounting unit off my machine today and inspected the pin holes. They do not exactly line up which is most likely part of the problem. It looks like the only way to fix this would be to remove and re-weld new pin holes or order a new mounting plate. Before I tackle this I will probably see how difficult it is to re-install the blade this winter.
